Three ways you can connect with nature through Burscough Community Farm
- Nature-based Based Arts and Crafts
- Growing and Consuming Healthy Food
- Walking and Observing Nature
By taking part in one or more of these activities, you can get back to nature.
Why 'nature' and how can you benefit?
Over the last few centuries – which is a tiny fraction of human existence – we have become increasingly disconnected from earth and nature. Reconnecting with nature can have massive mental health benefits for many people. Our solution is to help people reconnect with the land and nature through activities on the farm. We call it Green Social Prescribing.
Because of the social nature of the farm, you get the opportunity to work with others, which also brings enormous benefits.
We know this works from our evidence and numerous other theoretical research studies.
How can you get involved?
