New Yoga Classes at Burscough Community Farm – Find Your Balance in Nature
We’re thrilled to announce a new addition to our wellbeing offering at Burscough Community Farm – outdoor yoga classes with the wonderful Jessica Sawyer.
Set amongst the rustling trees of our peaceful willow grove, these sessions are unlike any yoga class you’ve experienced before. Picture this: you’re gently stretching under the open sky, breathing in the fresh scent of earth and leaves, while birds sing overhead and sunlight filters through the trees. It’s yoga, but not as you know it – it’s yoga grounded in nature, community, and deep relaxation.
Meet Jessica
Jessica is an experienced yoga teacher and sound healing practitioner with a heartfelt passion for nature and well-being. Her classes combine a variety of styles—from gentle yin yoga to more flowing, energising sequences—always tailored to how you’re feeling on the day.
“I want people to leave feeling balanced and whole in their mind, body, and spirit,” says Jess. “We’ll use breathwork, movement, and deep relaxation – sometimes even a little head massage with aromatherapy oils, or sound healing with Tibetan and crystal bowls. It’s a blend of techniques, but the goal is always the same: peace, calm, and connection.”
Yoga in the Willow Grove
What makes these sessions truly special is the setting. The willow grove at Burscough Community Farm is a secluded, green sanctuary – a place where you can switch off, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself and the world around you.
Jess describes it as “a little slice of heaven… it’s like you’re being held by the trees.”
We couldn’t agree more.
Who Can Attend?
These sessions are open to everyone, whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practising for years. Jess creates an inclusive space where all bodies and abilities are welcome – you don’t need to be flexible or fit to join in. If getting down to the ground is tricky, chair-based options are available too.
So whether you’re looking to ease stress, improve your flexibility, boost your mood, or simply spend a nourishing hour in nature, these sessions are for you.

When: Mondays, 10:00–11:00 am (weather permitting)
Where: Willow Grove, Burscough Community Farm
How: Drop in or purchase a package of sessions
What to bring: A yoga mat or towel, comfy clothes, and an open heart
These classes will run outdoors when the weather is good, and Jess will keep you posted via our social media channels each week.
