Reboot Your Life (Willow Edition): a free six-week outdoor wellbeing course — starts 5th November 2025

If you’ve been feeling stuck, isolated, or low on confidence, ‘Reboot Your Life’ is a gentle, practical way to get moving again—outdoors, with good people, doing real hands-on projects that make you feel proud at the end of each week. This autumn, we’re launching a refreshed ‘Willow Edition’ that leans into the craft, heritage, and calming rhythm of working with willow on our community farm in Burscough.

What is Reboot Your Life?

Reboot Your Life is a ‘free, six-week course’ at Burscough Community Farm designed to help people rebuild confidence, reduce stress and anxiety, and reconnect with nature—while learning practical, creative skills. Sessions are supportive, low-pressure, and focused on progressing at your own pace alongside a friendly group.

What you’ll do

This cohort is more outdoor-based and more active than previous versions. We’ll start by building a simple shelter together using willow grown on the farm, then use it as our base for the rest of the course. From there, you’ll explore the full “field-to-craft” journey of willow—learning how to harvest, plant, and weave—with space each week for small, participant-led projects as your skills and confidence grow. (We’re even exploring a mini yurt build.)

Example activities:

* Shelter building (teamwork, basic tools, practical confidence)

* Willow harvesting & processing (seasonal skills, mindfulness in action)

* Willow weaving (therapeutic craft with a take-home result)

* Willow planting (understanding how willow grows and regenerates)

Who it’s for?

We welcome adults who’ve been out of work for a while or who simply need a reset for their well-being. This autumn cohort is especially aimed at younger people (roughly 18–25) who’ll benefit from practical, outdoor projects—though the spirit of the course is inclusive and supportive for anyone referred or expressing interest.
